La lucha callejera de la "Unión Cívica” y el "14 de Junio" contra los remanentes del Trujillato, los esfuerzos de Joaquín Balaguer y Ramfis Trujillo por mantenerse en el poder, el inicio en el país de las actividades del PRD, las elecciones de 1962 y el triunfo del profesor Juan Bosch, entre otros acontecimientos.
